Description
So, as I mentioned on my Journal, I recently finished building a Studio at my current new home in Finland*, and basically started the new year (2016) with a clean slate and a brand new space to work. Then, already willing to venture more on my work, I received the suggestion from my Gallery in Brazil to try and do some Landscape paintings. I realized it was indeed a good time to start on plein air painting, which is something I've been wanting to do for the longest time, and just never really got into the habit of doing it.
I absolutely love nature, and lucky as I am, it happens that I live in Finland now, a country with 70% of its territory covered by Forests, when not by Lakes. And not just any forest, but some of the oldest and most magical in the world. Plus, very well defined seasons. Is this heaven for a plein air painter or what? Lazy as I am, I do not guarantee for myself that I will be outside painting all the time (it's such a messy work), but I will definitely try more!
And so, these are some of the first things I was able to do so far. Painting mostly inside the studio from sketches done outside, since it's the middle of the winter and I have very sensitive fingers. And there's wind. And cold. And snow of your face. But I'm very excited about this new chapter of my professional life! So I'm starting a new folder on my gallery and will be submitting to here soon.
